These characters went through some changes over the course of this work. I draw and color when I can which means that I may draw a piece - come back to it and have to get back in the groove. This piece is a prime example. I did the original ink pretty quickly but really didn't think about coloring it so I made some problems for myself. Thankfully a bit of redraw and Photoshop color and I got it back in line with my original vision. The original b&w is included with this post so you can see the changes. That includes me dropping the incoming enemy because I decided the picture didn't need them. Unseen threat adds to the viewer's imagination.

I had the delight to be contacted by the Chickasaw Nation asking for prints of these pieces. They will appear in the new Behavioral Health center. I hope they bring a smile to the clients going there. New Art is coming soon.

So this is currently in production, the main character Fallen Star gathered with his allies preparing to defend against an attack. I share this to show you my process. And I'll post the final when I finish. The art is ink on art paper which I scanned and then started color and effects in Photoshop.
